Product Description

General Description:

Aluminum alloys containing more than 2 % magnesium become brittle with sodium.

Feature: This sodium removering flux is a compact covering and cleaning granulated flux to remove the sodium in the aluminum melting. It generates low dust and low fume during application. It reacts quickly with molten aluminum and removes the alkali metal (Ca, Na, Li, Sr) and non-metallic inclusions (oxides, carbides, borides) and degassing.

Function:

1. Do not contain various forms of Na, which is suitable for Mg>2% al-alloy to avoid “sodium brittle”

2. The main components are Chloride and Fluoride salts with other salts and compounds.

3. The dry raw materials are mixed together and then are fused or melted into a liquid state by usIng a high temperature furnace.

After fusing completed the flux are cooled and they are crushed or ground into ccustomerized particle size.

4. Removes non-metallic inclusions, hydrogen, sodium, calcium and lithium from liquid aluminium and aluminium alloy. Enhances

degassing when injected flux with Argon or Nitrogen.

5.By means of flux injection Machine gives the highest refining efficiency.

6.Sodium levels less than 1ppm in high Mg-al alloys are attainable in the casting.
